Our members breed a diverse range of lovely pedigree cats and are willing to give advice and help to those who are in need.  We support the other cat clubs in the Northern NSW region by being members, by helping on show days and by exhibiting - the other clubs' members reciprocate the same way.  We are a friendly and informal group and each one of us attempts to promote our own breeds as well as the others, plus all our members are mindful of cat welfare and responsible pet ownership.  All members have delightful cats and kittens - many have delightful domestic cats and kittens for companions as well, proudly showing them at cat shows for all the world to see.

Kittens sold as pets MUST BE DESEXED and MICROCHIPPED at the age of six (6) months (no later).  After 1/7/99, when a kitten or cat (or dog/puppy) is SOLD OR GIVEN AWAY, the breeder or owner must microchip the animal.  This is recorded on the Companion Animals register, either state or Australia wide.  At 6 months or earlier, when it is desexed, the new owner has to transfer the new pet into their name and pay a lifetime registration fee.

This is designed to help curb the unwanted kitten population and it is vitally important to desex ALL pets.  Even a domestic kitten must be DESEXED (if it is going to be shown - even once - it MUST BE DESEXED) - there is no truth to the rumour that a female cat must have a litter first before desexing.  Same goes, of course, for the males!

Every NSW breeder listed here is registered with NSWCFA Inc and every one has beautiful "furry friends and families".   We also have members who reside in Queensland - they are registered with their own Cat Controls - our club rules for listings apply as well.  Those who have websites are listed with links as are those with e-mail facilities.  Those members who don't have these facilities are on the phone - they can be contacted directly or through the club - phone numbers are now listed on this page.
