Councillor's complaint to the ACCC regarding letters printed in Argus

I am disappointed to see that Councillor John Bowell has complained to the
Australian Competition and Consumer Commission because of a few letters by Residents
who were only expressing the opinion, in The Macleay Argus regarding the decision
made by Council to tar parts of Point Plomer Road.
By stopping the newspaper from printing these letters Cr Bowell is in other
words saying that people should not be allowed to express their opinion on the
matter of tarring parts of Point Plomer Road.
Because of Council's attempt to keep the media quiet about the tarring of parts
of Point Plomer Road, everyone can see that this matter is damaging to Council's
already bad reputation.
Council wouldn't be in the mess now if they had listened to the residents of
whom they are supposed to be representing. Also most of The Councillors who
were elected on the basis of their "No Tar" statements voted for tar.
